Reflections 2007

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before? Went to Asia and got a dog 2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Nope...still swearing and still always late. This year I want to study 5 hours a week minimum and not ever hit snooze.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No 4. Did anyone close to you die? no. 5. What countries did you visit? Scotland, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
My own house. 7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
1st October....starting a phd. 8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting onto a phd course. 9. What was your biggest failure? failing to get on some other courses and almost giving up.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No. Mild lasting knee pain from a taekwondo competition which required xray was the closest I came to injury. 11. What was the best thing you bought?
My dog 12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
TSD has been fabulous this year...we're real come together. 13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
TSD's mother. 14. Where did most of your money go?
I'd say Asia but it was relatively cheaper than staying here. But in terms of paying out money all at once...buying a flight to Bangkok is the most expensive thing I bought this year. 15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Asia...and rightly so...it was awesome. 16. What song will always remind you of 2007? Paolo Nutini - Last request
17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
Happier. Things are going really well with work, relationship, pets, family. I have no big complaints at the moment. ii. thinner or fatter? Probably a bit fatter, but not significantly...need to stop eating so much chocolate. iii. richer or poorer?
Poorer with the potential to get much richer...unless I buy a house of course :) 18. What do you wish you'd done more of? staying in touch with people.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sleeping, snoozing and being late for things. 20. How will you be spending Christmas? We did the same, just us christmas morning with presents and breakfast...where we exchanged cool alarm clocks...both surprises for each other...and then we went to our families for more food and more presents.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Yes. 23. How many one night stands?
none. 24. What was your favourite TV programme?
Prison break. 25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No. 26. What was the best book you read? First they killed my father - Young Cambodian woman whose name I forget.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
There's been lots of great new bands this year. But The Fray is definately my new favourite. 28. What did you want and get?
A place on the phd course FINALLY YAS YAS YAS! 29. What did you want and not get?
To buy a house...why won't Pacitti Jones call me back? 30. What was your favourite film of this year?
That sexy Jodie Foster movie where she was on massive posters all over the place for ages...mmmm. 31. What did you do on your birthday?
I was at uni where one of the girls had made me an AMAZING cake with white chocolate icing. We had some really boring lectures then went to the pub. I went to my parents for dinner then went climbing. We'd been out for a family meal the night before and ended up sitting at a table beside Neil Lennon. 32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Continuous employment and being able to entertain myself. 33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Plain. 34. What kept you sane?
TSD...we have found each other this year. 35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Jodie Foster 36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I've hardly watched the news all year so I won't embarass myself by pretneding to know anything about anything. 37. Who did you miss? My colleagues from the hospital...again this is true.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Tallboy from my course. 39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.
Never ever give up. Or let bad treatment bring you down. 40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. "Slow down, Lie down, Remember it's just you and me. Don't sell out, bow out, Remember how this used to be. "
